Illicit Pre Workout: It’s Called El Chapo Now

If you searched for “illicit pre workout” and landed here, I can save you the digging. Illicit is called El Chapo now. It’s a rename, and El Chapo is the name to look for on the site.

People email us about this. Somebody’s got an old tub at the back of a cupboard, or a training partner mentioned it to them, and then they go looking for the page and it isn’t there anymore. I’d be confused too.

The short version

We renamed it. Illicit became El Chapo, and that’s where it’s lived since.

While I’m at it, the other rename people write in about: La Madrina is now Fyre AF. Same story, different name on the label.

The bit I’m not going to fudge

The original El Chapo formula isn’t coming back. I know that isn’t the answer anybody’s hoping for when they come looking, and I’d rather say it plainly than leave you hanging on a maybe. There’s no date on it because there’s no plan for it.

What I can tell you is that we’re constantly evaluating feedback and we update the lineup based on what customers want. That’s not me brushing you off. It’s how this range has changed over the years, and it’s why a few of the names on the site aren’t the ones you remember.

Other things people go looking for

• Hulk AF is discontinued.
• Escobar is discontinued.

Same answer as above on those. We change the lineup based on what people tell us, and I’m not going to promise you a comeback I can’t deliver.

If you came here to buy it

El Chapo is on the site. Orders ship out of California and usually take 3 to 5 business days, though carriers do what carriers do and weather is weather, so I say usually and I mean usually. Tracking gets emailed to you as soon as it ships, so you’re not sat there guessing.

One thing worth knowing before you open the tub. Pre workout clumps. Mine clumps, everybody’s clumps, it’s the nature of the stuff. Give the tub a proper shake and it breaks straight back up. It isn’t a bad batch and there’s nothing wrong with it.

I’ve got a cupboard at home full of half finished tubs, which is what happens when you taste test everything before it goes on the site. Lana has opinions about that cupboard. She isn’t wrong.
