Escobar is discontinued. It isn’t on the site, it isn’t hiding in a warehouse somewhere, and I’m not going to dress that up.

We’re constantly evaluating feedback and update the lineup based on what customers want. That’s the honest version of it. Things get retired, a couple of things got renamed instead, and I know it’s annoying when you go looking for one specific tub and it’s gone. I’ve got a cupboard at home with half-finished tubs in it going back years, some of ours, some of other people’s, so I understand the attachment to a particular one.

What I reach for before a session

The two I reach for now are El Chapo and Fyre AF. They sit in different parts of the lineup on the site, so they’re not swaps for each other, and neither one is Escobar. Both are staples in my rotation and which one I grab comes down to what I feel like when I’m standing there in the kitchen, which is a less scientific answer than you were probably hoping for. lol

Some of the confusion is renaming rather than retiring, and people keep searching the old names, so here’s the list in one place.

• Illicit is now El Chapo.
• La Madrina is now Fyre AF.

And while I’m on it, the original El Chapo formula isn’t coming back. The one on the site is the one we make. I’d rather say that plainly than have you keep checking back for it.
